Message From the 1st Vice President

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We are now approaching OSDIA’s 118th year! WOW! How proud we are of the accomplishments and success of so many wonderful years of being one of the oldest fraternal organizations. We could not have moved forward without the tireless work of volunteers’ members, state, and national officers as we move into 2023. Over the last several months, we’ve been navigating the “new normal” as our world and lodges begin to slowly re-open and re-gather. During this transitional period, we’ve remained dedicated to the Order, preserving our Italian Heritage, Italian Culture & Language.

Technology is both an opportunity and a challenge for many of our lodges, as we prioritize the requests of our lodges, we work to ensure that our lodges basic needs are met.

This is the time of year lodges are installing their newly elected lodge officers! A time to thank the outgoing officers and welcome the new officers.

On Wednesday, January 11, 2023 I had the honor along with State Trustee – Central Pamela Buldo to participate in the installation of lodge officers in the Hanford Lodge #2543. It was a wonderful ceremony and evening followed with a delicious Polenta and Stew dinner prepared by the Leoni and Nardini families. This is their yearly treat to their members and guests as a tradition passed down from their parents, and grandparents.

On Thursday, January 12, 2023, I attended the Enrico Caruso Lodge #1463 meeting (my lodge) I was asked to preside as Installing Officer for the installation of our newly elected officers along with Ritual and Protocol Comm. Chairperson, Marlene Romanazzi. Another enjoyable evening of having the honor of installing our lodges officers.

Best Wishes and Congratulations to the newly installed officers with success in their term! Also, a heartfelt thank you to the outgoing officers for there leadership, time and dedication to their members and lodge in their term of office.

Until next month!

Fraternally
