Napa Lodge #2043

Back on Track with Fundraising: A Celebratory Success for OSDIA Napa Lodge #2043

In an inspiring display of community spirit and resilience, Napa Lodge #2043, hosted its first major fundraiser since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event, held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, was not just a return to tradition but a bold statement of revival and unity within the community. Dubbed “BOOT TO FORK: Festa Italiana a Napa,” the evening was a testament to the collective efforts of the lodge’s members, leadership, business partners, and the broader Napa Valley community.

The journey to this momentous occasion began amidst the hustle and bustle of the 2023 holiday season. With an ambitious goal of attracting 200ish attendees, the organizing team faced the daunting task of piecing together a major event during one of the busiest times of the year. Despite initial slow ticket sales and the looming distractions of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and Super Bowl festivities, the lodge’s spirit remained unshaken.

At one point, doubts crept in, and the possibility of postponing the event to spring was considered. However, the unwavering determination of a few visionary leaders within the lodge kept the flame of hope alive. Their relentless optimism and leadership spurred the committee into action, ensuring the event stayed on course.

The result was nothing short of spectacular. The fundraiser exceeded expectations, drawing near 200 participants (attendees, volunteers, event staff, etc.) including state leaders who lent their support to the cause. The evening was further energized by the enthusiastic participation of Justin-Siena high schoolers, who brought youthful vigor and enthusiasm.

Financially, the event was a triumph, with robust donations and revenues generated from silent and live auctions, beverage sales, and miscellaneous contributions. However, the true success of the evening lay in its ability to bring people together in a spirit of family, unity, and celebration. The atmosphere was charged with joy and camaraderie, highlighting the strong bonds within the community and the lodge.

This fundraiser marked a significant milestone for Napa Lodge #2043, showcasing the resilience and dedication of its members and the community at large. It was a clear demonstration of what can be achieved when individuals come together for a common purpose, fueled by passion and a commitment to their shared heritage and values.

As the Napa Lodge looks to the future, the success of this event serves as a foundation upon which to build even more ambitious and impactful initiatives. With the continued support of its members, partners, and the community, Napa Lodge #2043 is poised to continue its legacy of service, unity, and cultural celebration for years to come.
