Our May 73rd Anniversary dinner was a terrific evening! We had a wonderful prime rib or chicken wellington dinner. The food was fantastic, as usual. Our caterer did another outstanding job. The members that helped put this event together created a beautifully decorated hall. Without each and every one of them, our events would not be as successful. We would like to thank each of the lodges and state officers that attended our anniversary: Anaheim Lodge, Dolly Sinatra Lodge, Joanne Coccia Lodge, La Costa Dei Fiori Lodge and Pugliese Lodge. The state officers that attended were: Western Foundation Trustee Joseph

Survival…
Like many Sons and Daughters of Italy lodges, Saddleback is struggling to retain and even gain members. To that end, we have been successful, and I thought I would give my opinions on why we are doing well. First of all, it is leadership. Our president and his council have been very effective in maintaining morale and loyalty through the pre-pandemic and pandemic period. Hank, especially, has encouraged ideas and has kept virtually all members of the lodge active by delegating the responsibility for activities, meeting programs and meals, and responding positively to member’s ideas. Secondly, we strive for monthly activities. There is so much to see and do around Orange County and beyond that our activities abound. We have done wine tasting, museum trips, outdoor picnics, outdoor movies, and train trips for example at affordable prices. As a result, we have a very cohesive group.

It is our plan to give the Grand Lodge

In Loving Memory:
It is with a sad heart that I start this article from the Anaheim Lodge. On Monday May 16th Carol D’Ordine, the wife of Joseph D’Ordine passed away. She had been in the Rehab Center for about a month. Carol was scheduled to go home on Monday with a Home Health Care person.

Carol was a long time member of the Anaheim Lodge, and was Mistress of Ceremonies. She loved playing Cards and Bingo. Carol was very active in the lodge. We are all shocked and very sadden with the sudden passing of our beloved member. Rest in Peace Dear Carol.

Sunday May 15th the Anaheim Lodge #2076 celebrated our 64th Anniversary. We honored Dora Vorono who has been a member for over 30 years and has held various positions. Doro has been a Trustee, Delegate

The Joanne Coccia Lodge #2553 was happy to have our State Grand Lodge President, Barbara Wisniewski, spend several days with us on May 14, 2022 and May 15, 2022. She was such a gracious lady and State Grand President the entire time she spent with us.

On May 14th, we treated her to a wonderful Italian dinner at a new Italian Restaurant known as Mazzulli’s Italian Kitchen. There

We always welcome visitors to our Lodge, from Lodges all over the country. It’s an honor to have them visit, and when you receive a thank you, as wonderful as the following one, it brings home the message of just how fortunate we are here at our Lodge! Our entertainment is spectacular, as the thank you says! And the regular entertainers bring special, very talented guests occasionally, and I would like to illustrate with three recent nights at our Lodge, which illustrates just how SPECTACULAR we do have things here at Dolly Sinatra Lodge!! But first the thank you email Lori Harvey received recently…

Thank you so much for including us in your weekly dinner. I’m sure it will be the highlight of our trip but please don’t tell the bride & groom whose wedding we are attending! The
