In Italy, the Naples Bay and the area surrounding it sits on a giant caldera that rivals the size of Yellowstone Park in North America. The magma chamber that sits beneath the bay causes the landmass and the seabed to rise and fall depending on the pressure exerted. The caldera affects the lives of over 2 million people that reside there.
The “first” recipe book in Europe was a tome written circa 1350 titled Daz buch von guter spise, or The Book of Good Food, but, around the third century, the Romans had recipes available from the Apicius, which listed methods of cooking various foods, including one that highly resembles a hamburger.
